The redesign for Grand Central Partnership of their visitor information kiosk was one of our first studio projects and to this day is still one of our favorites.
We were tasked with designing an inviting and approachable kiosk for tourists arriving in NYC for the first time. This fleet of mobile kiosks are stationed in and around Grand Central Station—fielding questions to the million+ visitors that pass through daily.
Throughout this project we worked closely with the GCP team, spent countless hours mapping tourist flow, studied the neighborhood character, and met with manufacturing partners. The resulting design is engaging, colorful, and durable. Within the first 3 months of launching the new design, GCP saw a 40% increase in public interaction.
Nearly 6 years later, you can still spot these Kiosks around the Station.
