We wrote an article on topics that are very near and dear to our hearts; the independent design community, American manufacturing, and creating objects with meaning. “…we surround ourselves with objects that become heirlooms for the next generation—objects with stories and meaning. And as makers, these are the objects we want to create.” In Anecdotal Objects: How Stories Give Meaning to the Things We Make we discuss our path, our values, our passion for making with meaning and why we opened Join Shop and Join Shop Foundry.
